Our Healthcare Team

Our healthcare team consists of Veterinary Receptionists, Assistants, Animal Health Technologists, a Pet Stylist and a Practice Manager. Our veterinarian and healthcare team members are consistently pursuing continuing education to bring the most current veterinary medicine to our clients. Our members have attended, video-endoscopy, video-laparoscopy, CO2 laser surgery, parasitology, nutrition, pain management and practice development seminars, in Manitoba, Ontario and several American cities. Our healthcare team members are truly committed to addressing the individual requirements of our patients. We strive every day to provide the most appropriate and effective preventative veterinary care to our valued patients.

Practice Manager
Andrea 
Andrea has been in the veterinary profession for over 14yrs. While attending university Andrea, by circumstance discovered her career, while volunteering at a veterinary hospital, Veterinary Practice Management. She has worked as a Practice Manager ever since. Andrea thrives on the everyday challenges of a busy clinic environment. She especially enjoys growing a positive, motivated team environment for her colleagues, and creating strategies for excellence in patient and client care. In her spare time Andrea spends as much time as she can with her, husband two children, and two Bernese Mountain Dogs "Paya" & "Ferdinand", usually outdoors!
Animal Health Technologists
Petra 
Petra joined our Healthcare Team in November 2008. Petra graduated from the Red River Community College, Animal Health Technology Program in 1985. Petra is an active member of the Manitoba Animal Health Technologists Association serving on the Continuing Education Committee. Petra has worked in small animal medicine, including two years in emergency medicine for over 19 years! Petra's extensive experience and dedication in Veterinary Medicine makes her a valuable member of our team. Petra lives in the country with her husband and daughter. They have a houseful of rescued pets; four dogs, one cat, three birds, three snakes and one rat! She enjoys watching movies and being outdoors, especially walking and hiking in our many provincial parks.

Jerilyn
Jerilyn graduated from Red River Community College, Animal Health Technology, in 2003. Jerilyn joined our healthcare team in 2004. In 2006 she made a career change, moved out of province, and worked at a Humane Society. We were happy to have her back in 2007, her energy and enthusiasm were welcomed. Jerilyn is again making a career change to 'human' nursing, pursuing her Bachelor of Nursing! However Jerilyn's love of pets keeps her in veterinary medicine part time. When not studying or working, Jerilyn spends time with her husband, two dogs, 'Kyser' and 'Joey', and three cats, 'Belle', 'Holli' and 'Mr'.

Correna
Correna graduated from Robertson College Veterinary Assistant program in 2000. Correna completed her course practicum at our hospital and never left! Correna's compassion and commitment to our clients is evident on a daily basis. Correna welcomes all of our VIP's (Very Important Pets), ensuring they are made comfortable and their healthcare needs are addressed by our veterinary healthcare team. Correna shares her life with her four children, two dogs, 'Meeko', and "Neela", three cats, 'Mia', 'Socks', and "R.J."

Tamara
Tamara's love and passion for animals brought her to join our team in 2005. Tamara has been working in the pet industry for 10 years! She is also a graduate of the Robertson College Veterinary Assistant program. Tamara's extensive experience in the pet industry has made her an excellent addition to our healthcare team. Tamara has a keen interest in Animal Nutrition and has completed the Hills Veterinary Nutritional Advocate program. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with our clients to facilitate the best nutrition for their pets. Tamara shares her home with her husband, daughter, three dogs, 'Kody', 'Kaitie', 'Max', one cat 'Jonah', and "Tweeder" the lovebird.

Jennifer P.
Jennifer joined our team in September 2008. She is pursuing a career as an Animal Health Technologist and is currently attending the Red River College Animal Health Technology Program. In her spare time she enjoys off roading on her ATV, doing home renovations, and gardening. Jennifer and her husband share their home with their cat "Grizz" and dog "Molly".

Jennifer L.
Jennifer graduated from the Robertson College Veterinary Assistant program with honors in 2005. She was pleased to join our team at the Animal Hospital of Manitoba in September 2008. Jennifer is always looking to expand her knowledge and has a keen interest in continuing education, she has received certificates in Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, Dental Health, Small Animal Pain Management & Anesthesia, to name a few. In her spare time Jennifer enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs: Shiloh, Chester, and Boxer and 2 cats: Itchy and Skitters.

Clarissa  Clarissa joined our team in August 2009. Clarissa's interest in pet and client care led her to explore our field. Clarissa can be counted on assist with the best possible pet care. Clarissa is also a trained actor and has made numerous appearances in movies, and productions. Clarissa shares her home with her boyfriend and their two cats.
Sherry  Sherry has always had a love for animals, and joined our team in October 2009. Sherry's enthusiastiam and positve energy is infectious to all! Sherry and her husband have three sons and three dogs named "Kelsey", "Boo", and "Francis". When not at the clinic Sherry enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
